It was hard but my friend who had cancer was transparent about everything so I shared my story

Sending emails to friends and family and asking them to share. My husband needs a kidney but is having a really hard time advocating for himself. I try to encourage him since my boys are 12 and 15. I do talk about it as much as I can.

do it early! as early as you hear the word 'dialysis may be needed.

Transplant is NOT fix - it's life altering - expectations will need to be adjusted along the way as there may be uos and downs galore, along the way.
